Delaware Digs

The summer field school from Michigan Tech has spent the last 7 weeks investigating two building foundations on the property. One was believed to be a blacksmith shop from around the 1870's. The other site was previously unknown because it did not show up on any of the earlier site maps. Both of these sites will become part of our "Delaware Dig's" interpretations.

Delaware Digs will be a series of web articles that will highlight the various digs that have been performed on the site and provide pictures and documentation about each. As we look to expand information of the property we want to provide a balance of information located at the sites while also providing a resource for people who want to dig into the story a little more.

We are very thankful to Tim Scarlett and his team who adapted to the weather, bugs and overall site conditions during their time on site. The information and history they uncovered will be something for us to share.
